76-year-old man dies following crash in Whitedale
Police are appealing for witnesses.
A 76-year old man has died following a crash in Whitedale.
Police were called at around 7pm on Thursday 29th May to reports that a black ford focus and a black MG3 were involved in a collision on Beverley Road - between New Ellerby and Great Hatfield.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 76-year-old man, was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment to serious injuries, however he later died in hospital on Friday, 6th June.
His family have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in the coming days to establish the man’s cause of death.
Officers are carrying out lines of enquiries to further establish the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
