A man's been charged with theft in Beverley.

Liam Atkinson, 35, from Ellerburn Avenue, Hull has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and three counts of theft from a shop.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court at a later date.

It was reported that a man entered several shops, including shops on Coltman Avenue and Grovehill Road in Beverley, on three separate occasions between Friday 12 December 2025 and Thursday 8 January 2026, taking items without payment.

A separate incident was also reported on Monday 15 December, where a motor vehicle was allegedly taken from a property on Minster Wharf in Beverley.
