Man charged for driving towards pedestrian in Bridlington
Alleged incident includes dangerous driving and assault
A 25-year-old man from Bridlington has been charged following an incident where he allegedly drove towards a pedestrian and engaged in further damaging behaviour.
The incident took place on Bessingby Gate in Bridlington on the morning of 23rd June.
Owen Shepherd is accused of multiple offences, including two counts of criminal damage, two counts of assault by beating, threats to kill, possession of a class B drug, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without both insurance and a licence.
Shepherd is reported to have driven towards a woman, believed to be known to him, before exiting the vehicle and assaulting her.
Further allegations include reversing into another vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Shepherd has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today, 25th June.
