Man arrested after items stolen from cars on two Hull streets

Officers were called after members of the public spotted a man taking items from a vehicle

A 33-year-old man is in police custody after being arrested over thefts from two vehicles in Hull.

Members of the public spotted a man believed to be taking items from a vehicle on Church Street on Monday 21st September.

Officers attended the scene.

Enquiries then established that the same man had allegedly taken items from a parked vehicle on Emily Street shortly afterwards, police said.

The 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

He remains in custody assisting police with their ongoing investigation, according to Humberside Police.
