A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Scunthorpe on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

The arrest followed efforts by Crosby and Park Neighbourhood Policing Officers, who were on patrol in the Tomlinson Avenue area on Monday, 18th May 2026, amid concerns of suspected drug dealing activities.

Over several weeks, officers had collected information leading to the identification of a man allegedly involved in drug dealing in the vicinity.

The suspect attempted to flee upon realising police presence but was quickly detained.

During a subsequent search, officers uncovered a substantial quantity of what is believed to be class A drugs.

The man has been conditionally bailed as investigations continue.

Local policing officers continue to encourage members of the public to report any suspicions or concerns regarding drugs and drug-related crime in the area.

While immediate action may not always be visible,"police assure the use of information to develop a broader understanding of offences.

Building a comprehensive case aids evidence presentation to the Crown Prosecution Service for potential conviction.

“The information you provide could be the missing piece of the puzzle we need,” local officers emphasised.

Reports can be made online, via 101, or in an emergency, by calling 999.

To report anonymously, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
