Man arrested on suspicion of criminal damage at Hull shop

A man has been arrested after reports of criminal damage at a shop in Hull.

Humberside Police officers were called to Holderness Road at around 6.40pm on Tuesday 19 May to reports of a man taking items from the store before throwing a bottle onto the floor. The man is also alleged to have spat at a member of staff.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of three counts of criminal damage and assault by beating.

He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
