A man who sexually assaulted two women he didn't know in their own homes in Hull and Skipton has been jailed for four and a half years.

28-year-old McCaulay Parker posed as a tradesman and door-to-door salesman before entering the victims' homes without consent.

He made sure they were home alone and refused to take no for an answer.

In July 2024, one of the women reported Parker to Humberside Police.

She said he'd posed as a tradesman and asked the woman, who lived in Hull, if she needed any work doing.

Despite refusing, he turned up the next week and entered her property after asking if she was home alone.

Parker made inappropriate comments to her, touched her without consent and sexually assaulted her.

In March 2025, another woman made a report to North Yorkshire Police.

She said Parker had claimed to be a door-to-door salesman had sexually assaulted her in her home in Skipton.

Parker was spotted nearby by officers and arrested.

He was linked to the previous Hull assault as he was listed on the Police National Computer.

Parker was found guilty following a four-day trial in December 2025 of two counts of sexual assault.

“No one should be made to feel unsafe in their own home"

Leading the Humberside Police investigation, PC Jessica Holland said: “No one should be made to feel unsafe in their own home, and what Parker did to these women was not only repulsive, but extremely intrusive."

“In the North Yorkshire case, Parker took it one step further, behaving so nonchalantly and acting like nothing had happened by asking the woman if she wanted to get high with him after what he had just done to her."

Detective Constable Amy Sharrad, from North Yorkshire Police, said: "Our homes are our safe spaces. Instead, Parker invaded their personal, safe space and caused a great deal of trauma in these two random attacks.

"Understandably, this has had a lasting impact on both women. The sentence does not take away what they continue to live with, but hopefully it helps to provide a measure of comfort and strength to move forward with their lives."
