Lincolnshire will host stages one and two of the 2026 Lloyds Tour of Britain Men this September, marking the return of the UCI ProSeries race to the region for the first time in over three decades.

Lincoln will be the start and finish point for the opening stage on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.

This visit by a national tour to the city signifies the first in more than 30 years.

The city holds a history of hosting major cycling events including the annual Lincoln Grand Prix.

Stage two will kick off from Boston and finish at Skegness on Thursday 3rd September.

Tourism does not only favour Lincoln, Boston, and Skegness as historic cycling destinations but marks new territory for the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men.

The tour brings considerable economic and social benefits to host areas.

In 2025, host communities of the tour stages collectively experienced an economic impact of £62.3 million according to a British Cycling study.

Jonathan Day, Director of Events for British Cycling Ventures, expressed enthusiasm:

“We are delighted to be bringing the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men to these fantastic locations later this year.”

He extended thanks to partners supporting the race across five stages, appreciative of their assistance with hosting and logistics.

Councillor Natalie Oliver from Lincolnshire County Council also commented on the significance of the event:

"Bringing such a prestigious race to our area will be hugely inspiring for our children and young people."

Oliver highlighted that this occasion presents Lincolnshire as a premier cycling destination and acts as an economic catalyst for the local economy.

Her ambitions see local businesses and communities thriving alongside encouraging participation in cycling among young people.

The 2026 edition of the tour navigates Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, and concludes in the Scottish Borders.
