An inquest into the deaths of two teenagers who were found dead at a holiday park in Bridlington is due to open today.

Cherish Bean, aged 15, and 17-year-old Ethan Slater were discovered inside a rental property at Little Eden Holiday Park on 18 February.

Emergency services attended the scene following concerns for safety, but both teenagers were pronounced dead at the property.

Police previously said they were exploring whether the deaths could be linked to carbon monoxide poisoning, although the exact cause has not yet been confirmed.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths have been ongoing, with several arrests previously made on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

Tributes have been paid to the pair, who were both from Sheffield, with their families describing them as kind and much-loved teenagers.

The inquest opening hearing is expected to establish further details about the circumstances of their deaths while enquiries continue.
