Hull motorist arrested for drink driving and drug possession
Early morning police stop leads to roadside breath test
A driver has been arrested in Hull after police stopped a vehicle believed to be uninsured on Calvert Lane earlier today, Thursday, 9th July.
The vehicle was stopped by officers at around 12.40am, leading to suspicions that the driver might be under the influence of alcohol.
A roadside breath test was conducted, allegedly revealing a reading of 72.
The 40-year-old motorist was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
During a search in police custody, a quantity of class A drugs was reportedly discovered, resulting in a further arrest for possession of a controlled substance.
The individual remains in custody as investigations proceed.
