Woman charged on drug and firearm offences after police raid in Grimsby
Maggie Booker, 65, will appear in court in Hull later this month
A 65-year-old woman has been charged of drug and firearms offences following a raid at a property in Grimsby.
Maggie Booker, of Lichfield Court, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, two counts of possession of class B drugs, possession of criminal property and possession of a prohibited firearm disguised as another object.
She was arrested following a raid on a property in the town on Friday (October 30th), after a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was granted to Humberside Police.
Police forced their way into the property, where they found varying quantities of different narcotics. These were deemed to be class A, B and C-type drugs in later tests.
As well as this, several other items believed to be stolen were also recovered during the raid, together with £2,000 in cash.
Booker has now been remanded into police custody and will appear before Hull Magistrates' Court later this month.
Meanwhile, a second suspect - a 52-year-old man, who was arrested at the scene - has since been released, pending further enquiries from the force.
