A further three people have been arrested as part of an investigation into suspected contaminated drugs linked to overdoses in Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

Emergency services were called out to a property on Daubney Street in Cleethorpes on Wednesday 6 May after a woman reportedly become unwell.

She was hospitalised after taking what police believe to be contaminated drugs.

A 42-year-old woman, a 44-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

They're all in police custody for questioning.

Officers are investigating whether the latest incident is linked to four other cases where people became unwell between 30 April and 1 May.

A man also died at an address on Hope Street in Grimsby on 1 May.

A file is being prepared for His Majesty’s Coroner in relation to his death so it can be established whether it was related to contaminated drugs.

Five people previously arrested following warrants on Hainton Avenue and Daubney Street on 1 May have been released under investigation.
