A man and a woman have been charged with breaching UK immigration laws after six people were discovered inside a lorry on Anderson Road in Goole.

Florin Anghel, a 27-year-old who identifies as Italian, and Tita Istrate, a 24-year-old who identifies as Romanian, have been charged with facilitating the breach of UK immigration laws by non-UK nationals.

The pair have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Hull Magistrates Court this morning, 20th August.

The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday, 18th August 2026, when officers attended the scene on Anderson Road in Goole and detained six individuals under the Immigration Act.

The legal proceedings will address the charges related to their alleged involvement in enabling the breach of immigration law.
