Hull man charged over suspected fake bank notes

A 31-year-old has appeared in court accused of forgery offences

A man has been charged after police received reports of someone trying to use suspected counterfeit money in Hull.

Rhys Bunce, 31, of Stanbury Road, Hull, has been charged with two forgery offences.

Officers receieved reports in June (2026) that a man had tried to buy goods using suspected fake bank notes.

Bunce was remanded into custody and appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court on Friday (24 July).
