Witnesses sought after fatal collision in Brigg

Appeal follows single vehicle crash on Cadney Road

Police are seeking witnesses after a tragic road traffic collision on Cadney Road in Brigg resulted in the death of the driver.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 19th March, at approximately 1:45 pm, involving a red Mini that left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

Emergency services attended the scene, but unfortunately, the 66-year-old driver died at the location.

His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist trained officers.

The passenger in the vehicle, a 10-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist ongoing enquiries.
