Police officers closest to unwell woman on A180 respond before paramedics
They provided quick care to the woman before she was taken to hospital
An unwell woman who pulled over on the A180 near Immingham received help from nearby police officers yesterday afternoon (5th February).
Officers from the Roads Policing and Police Dog Unit were alerted to a concern for safety.
The officers, who were closer to her than paramedics, diverted their route to provide aid.
They requested a defibrillator and a TAC-MED kit as a precautionary measure.
The woman was later taken to hospital by paramedics.
A Humberside police spokesperson said, "Our officers go above and beyond in their line of duty, often providing life-saving responses, always with an unwavering duty of care, compassion and humanity, sometimes even before other emergency services arrive."
