Two men injured after altercation in Leicester city centre

Two men have been left injured in a city centre altercation in Leicester.

Police were notified of a fight in Hotel Street at around 2am.

The injured man was taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

He remains in hospital receiving treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening but may be life changing.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remains in police custody.
