Two arrested following stabbing in Leicester

A man in his 20s is in hospital in a critical condition

A team of officers are investigating a report of an argument which led to a man being stabbed in Danvers Road, Leicester.

Police attended the scene and arrested two men after being called by the East Midlands Ambulance Service at 10.25am on Sunday (17 August).

The injured man, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Two men, aged 49 and 50, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in police custody.

Detectives are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding surrounding the incident.

It was reported the incident happened inside an address.

Police tell us the three men are known to each other.

A scene preservation is currently in place and police are in the area carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
