The body of a man was been found in Melton Mowbray earlier today.

Leicestershire Police say they're treating the death as unexplained but do not believe it to be suspicious.

It was earlier this morning, shortly before 8:30 they made the discovery at the railway embankment, close to Dorian Rise.

Although formal identification has not yet been completed, they believe it to be 29 year old missing man Lewis Mackenzie - he was last seen around midday on Sunday on the Hartopp Road area of the town.

Officers are in contact with Lewis’ family and providing support.
