A critical incident has been stood down at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust, including Mansfield, Newark and King's Mill hospital.

It was declared on Tuesday (13th Jan) because of sustained pressure.

Simon Illingworth, Chief Operating Officer, said:

“While we are out of the Critical Incident, demand for beds remains high and our hospitals remain exceptionally busy.

“I apologise for the impact that these pressures have had, and continue to have, on all of our patients, and I want to thank our community for their continued support.

“I am grateful to our colleagues across the Trust whose hard work and commitment has kept our patients safe.”
