Second man arrested after Normanton stabbing

A second person has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Normanton at the weekend.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested today (Tuesday 21 July) on suspicion of GBH and possession with intent to supply cocaine.
This arrest follows a 24-year-old man being detained for GBH yesterday afternoon.
Both men remain in police custody.
Officers were called to Wallbrook Road just before 10:50pm on 19 July after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed.
On attendance a 40-year-old man was found with stab wounds and taken to hospital for treatment.
The man remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Detectives are still very keen to hear from members of the public who may have information about the incident. In particular anyone driving nearby at the time who may have seen the incident or caught in on dash cam.
