Man arrested on suspicion of rape in Nuthall

A man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman in Nuthall.

A 33-year-old has been arrested after the incident in Upminster Drive at around 3.30am today (2nd May).

A police cordon is in place and the suspect remains in custody.

Detective Sergeant Barry Haines, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers while we continue to investigate all lines of inquiry.

“A suspect has been arrested in connection with what we believe to be an isolated incident.

“We appreciate this incident will cause some concern to the public, but I want to reassure them just how seriously we treat all reports of this nature.

“I’d also ask anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information that could assist this ongoing investigation to please come forward.

“This can be reported to the police on 101, quoting incident 59 of 2 May 2025, or to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
