Police patrols have increased after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted on the Nottingham canal path.
Police patrols have been increased as they investigate a serious sexual assault in Nottingham.
A woman was assaulted on the canal towpath between Trent Street and Carrington Street in the early hours of yesterday morning (6 July).
Detectives want to speak to anyone who may have seen something or has information. Detective Sergeant Lee Kirk, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We understand the concern incidents of this nature can cause and uniformed officers will be in the area to offer reassurance and support.
“Alongside this, a team of detectives are working hard on the investigation.
“It is important anyone who was in the area at the time and has any information, or relevant footage, gets in touch without delay.”
The areas has been cordoned off while investigations continue.
