Boy, 14, arrested after city centre stabbing in Nottingham

Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing in Nottingham city centre.

The incident took place around 3.15pm today, 17th July, on Angel Row, where a 25-year-old man was stabbed and subsequently treated for his injuries by emergency services.

Officers managed to identify a suspect – a 14-year-old boy – who has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A knife was found and taken from the scene by police as part of their investigation.

Roads on Angel Row and Beastmarket Hill are presently closed off to facilitate enquiries.

Inspector Andy Wilson from Nottinghamshire Police said:

"Our first thoughts remain with the person injured in this incident. While I can confirm that a suspect has been identified and arrested, we are still in the very early stages of this investigation. Our inquiries are therefore still very much ongoing, so we'd ask anyone who saw what happened, thinks they know who was involved, or has any other information, to please share this with us immediately."
