Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was attacked and killed in Leicester.
Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was attacked and killed in Leicester.
He was found by a member of the public on Narborough Road at around 6:30am on Monday (17 Aug) and taken to Queen's Medical Centre.
On Wednesday, a member of the man's family reported the attack to the police. Unfortunately, the man - who was in his 20s - died from his injuries yesterday (20 Aug) and police launched a murder investigation.
A man, 31, and a woman, 39, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to commit murder.
Detective Inspector Kevin Hames, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), said: “This incident happened on a main route in and out of the city at a time when people may have been travelling to or from work. I’m certain there will be people who can help us but have not yet spoken to police.
“I’m making a direct appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or captured footage on a dashcam, doorbell or CCTV camera.
“I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area between 6.30am and 7am on Monday.”
“Any footage or information that you’re able to provide, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, could be important, and help us to understand what happened.
