Man hospitalised after being stabbed on electric bike in Mansfield

A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the leg whilst riding an electric bike in Mansfield.
Nottinghamshire Police were alerted to an incident taking place on Violet Hill in Mansfield just before 1:45pm on Friday afternoon (January 24th).
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a stab wound in his leg requiring medical treatment.
Following lines of enquiry, it was later discovered that there had been an altercation between a group of people on bikes when the stabbing occurred.
The victim was taken to hospital for his injuries, which police say are neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
Officers have since arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of wounding with intent and currently remains in police custody.
The force added that investigations into the incident are ongoing and witnesses are being urged to make themselves known with any information they may have.
Speaking on the case, Detective Inspector Andrea Brown from Nottinghamshire Police said: "This was a very serious incident played out in full view of multiple witnesses.
"We have already spoken to many of those people and have also reviewed a considerable amount of CCTV and other video footage overnight.
"As we work to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident it is vital for any additional witnesses come forward.
"As well as those who saw the altercation itself, we would also like to hear from anyone who saw a group of young men riding electric bikes in the area yesterday afternoon.
"Even the smallest piece of information could prove vital in this investigation, so I urge people to come forward without delay."
