Man suffers serious head injury after being found in Derby street during early hours
Police appeal for witnesses, CCTV footage and dashcam recordings as investigation continues
Police are appealing for information after a man was discovered seriously injured on a street in Derby during the early hours of Sunday morning (7 June).
Emergency services were called shortly before 3.30am, following reports that a man in his twenties had been found injured in Stafford Street.
The victim was taken to hospital with a serious head injury, where he remains receiving treatment.
Officers have confirmed that the man's family has been informed and is being supported as inquiries continue.
Police are now seeking information from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed events leading up to the incident or have details that could assist the investigation.
Residents and businesses with private CCTV cameras in the vicinity are being urged to review their footage.
Drivers who were travelling through the area around the time are also asked to check any dashcam recordings for information that may help officers establish how the man came to be injured.
