Man charged following the death of a woman in Leicestershire

A man has been charged following the death of a woman in Littlethorpe, Leicestershire.

Daniel Cook (39) of Atkinson Road, Ashby, has been charged with murder and is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (Tuesday 13 May).

On Sunday evening (11 May) officers were called to Biddle Road, where a woman was found injured in the street. Sadly, she was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Formal identification of the deceased is due to take place later this week.

Officers continue to support the victim’s family through this extremely difficult time.
