Man arrested after stabbing in Nottingham city centre flat
Police continue investigations but state no ongoing threat to public
A man has been arrested following an incident where a woman was stabbed inside a flat in Nottingham city centre.
Emergency services were called to the residential complex on Lower Parliament Street at 1.09pm on Thursday, 27th August.
The young woman was taken to hospital, and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of wounding with intent.
As investigations continue, a police cordon is in place.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould from Nottinghamshire Police addressed public concerns:
"While this investigation remains in its early stages, we believe this to be an isolated incident and do not consider there to be any ongoing threat to the wider public."
