A man's death in Nottingham is being treated as murder, and a 34-year-old man has been arrested.

Nottinghamshire Police say emergency services were called to a house in Ryeland Gardens in The Meadows in the early hours of Saturday 28 February.

They found a man with serious injuries, who was treated by paramedics but died a short time later.

Officers do not believe there is a threat to the wider public.

Detective Inspector Clare Gibson, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU), said: ā€œOur investigation is still in its early stages, but we are treating the man’s death as suspicious.

ā€œWe are working to understand exactly what happened inside this address, so there will be a significant police presence in the area while this takes place."

Nottinghamshire Police have asked any witnesses, or anyone with further information, to come forward.
