Man charged after machete confrontation in Nottingham city centre

It happened near Old Market Square in November

A man has been charged in connection to a machete confrontation near Old Market Square in Nottingham city centre.

The incident happened on the 16th November, involving two groups on e-bikes.

23-year-old Daniel Drazewski, of Norwood Road, Nottingham appeared in court yesterday (18th Dec).

He has been charged with violent disorder and possessing a knife / bladed article in a public place.

The 23-year-old is next due before Nottingham Crown Court on January 15th 2026.

Chief Superintendent Nick Waldram said:

“We are fully aware the impact this incident had on members of the public at the time.

“We hope this charging decision will offer the public some reassurance.”
