Firefighters tackle health club blaze in Long Eaton
An investigation into the cause is set to take place later
Emergency services have been attending a fire at a health club in Long Eaton this morning.
The fire started on the ground floor of the building on Regent Street, and crews from multiple fire stations including Ilkeston, Nottingham Road, Ascot Drive, Highfields, Stapleford and Stockhill responded after receiving a 999 call at 08.16am.
According to the fire service, crews confirmed the fire is now under control and all occupants were safely evacuated upon arrival. No injuries have been reported.
At the time of publishing, Regent Street remained closed with crews continuing to work at the scene. It was expected to remain shut for a couple of hours.
Firefighters are advising anyone who evacuated the club and needs access to their belongings to inform officers present at the scene.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is set to take place later today.
