Police investigate reported stabbing after man found injured in Nottingham nature reserve
Officers say the victim was attacked by two men in Sandy Banks Nature Reserve on Friday night
Police have launched an investigation following an attack on a 32-year-old man in Sandy Banks Nature Reserve.
Officers say the man was walking on Bembridge Drive when two men got out of a car and attacked him at 7:08pm on Friday evening (7 August).
It's reported that the attack continued into the nature reserve on the steps leading into it, resulting in the victim sustaining slash and stab injuries to his chest, back and legs.
Police say they found him during a routine patrol on Oxclose Lane outside the Golden Phoenix.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life altering.
Detective Inspector Stuart Barson said:
"We are actively investigating this attack and officers are in the area conducting house to house inquiries.
"The victim sustained multiple stab and slash wound injuries and we need to find those responsible for this."
