Two in hospital after collision in Bulwell on New Year's Eve

Two people are in hospital after a crash in Bulwell on New Year's Eve.

A vehicle mounted the pavement injuring three people on Main Street before 11:30am.

A 78-year-old woman is still in hospital, being treated for multiple serious injuries.

A 34-year-old man suffered a serious leg injury and is also still in hospital.

Another pedestrian was injured but did not require hospital treatment. Police said no arrests have been made, but they are investigating.

Sergeant Craig Luckett, of the Nottinghamshire Police’s Roads Policing Unit, said:

“This was a distressing incident that was witnessed by many members of the public.

“Sadly, one woman sustained some very serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

“Another man also sustained a significant leg injury.

“As our investigation into what happened continues, our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident.”
