Appeal following reports of assault by man with hammer in Market Harborough

Police received reports of a man with a hammer in Market Harborough on Saturday (21 June).

Leicestershire Police are appealing for the victim of a reported assault to come forward after they received calls about a man carrying a hammer in Market Harborough on Saturday (21 June).

Officers are carrying out enquiries after hearing a man with a hammer assaulted another man in the High Street at around 5:30pm.

They are appealing for witnesses to get in touch as they try to identify the suspect and locate the victim.

Leicestershire Police said: "If anyone witnessed the incident or has any information which may assist, they are asked to get in touch.
