Three people have been charged in connection with a murder in Leicester.
George Glover, 27, was attacked as he cycled down Narborough Road last Monday (17 Aug) at around 6:30am.
He was taken to hospital in Nottingham but died from his injuries the following Thursday (20 Aug).
In a statement, his family said: “He was a hardworking, focused young man who worked so hard to get a job he loved and enjoyed. George lived a simple life. He went to work then came home to enjoy his gaming or putting bike parts together. He very much kept himself to himself.
“His siblings looked up to him and as soon as he arrived home, the banter with them would start. He was loving, loyal and had a good sense of humour. He enjoyed Anime, Lego and Pokémon cards.
“He had a tough start in life with physical challenges but we’re so proud of the young man he’d become. We know there are so many people who’ll miss him as he was held in such high regard.”
Two men, Chae Smith, 31, and Joshua Cook, 24, have been charged with murder. The men - both of no fixed address - are also charged with robbery.
Smith is also accused of having a bladed article.
Louise O'Connor, 39, of Noel Street, Leicester, has been charged with one count of robbery.
All three are due in court today (24 Aug).
