Police searching for 36-year-old Jamie Poole, who was reported missing from the Newark area on 28 October, have recovered a body.
Officers discovered the body in the River Trent near Newark shortly after 10.30am on Sunday (9 November).
While formal identification has not yet taken place, Jamie’s family has been informed of the development and are being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Sergeant Andrea Brown, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is a very tragic development and we are supporting Jamie’s family at this difficult time.
"The circumstances are still being investigated, but at this time we are not treating the death as suspicious.
"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeals since Jamie was reported missing.
"A file will be prepared for the coroner as our investigations continue.”
