Teens due in court following stabbing in Leicester

Two 16-year-olds are due in court today (19 Jan) following a stabbing in Leicester.

Two 16-year-olds boys - who can't be named for legal reasons - are due in court today (19 Jan) accused of attempted murder.

It follows a stabbing on Granby Street in Leicester last Thursday (15 Jan) in which a 19-year-old man was attacked.

The suspects were arrested on Friday and Saturday and have since been charged with attempted murder. They are due to appear at Leicester Youth Court today.

A third 16-year-old boy was arrested yesterday (18 Jan) and remains in police custody.

Leicestershire Police said: "We are continuing to appeal for anyone who can help police with their ongoing enquiries to get in touch. This includes anyone who is able to provide mobile phone, CCTV or dashcam footage.
