Man arrested on suspicion of arson after cars set on fire in Nottingham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a number of cars were set alight in Nottingham.

A man is being questioned on suspicion of arson after a number of cars were set on fire in Nottingham.

Three vehicles were aflame on Nottingham Road in Hucknall at around 8:30pm yesterday (4 Jan). Emergency services shut the road as they brought the flames under control.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson and assaulting an emergency worker.

Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch. They are being asked to please call 101, quoting incident number 526 of 4 January 2026.
