Two arrested after woman found injured in Sneinton

Police are appealing for help to figure out what happened

A woman in her 50's is in hospital after being found injured in Sneinton.

Police were called around 6.22am on Saturday morning to reports of a woman being hurt, she's receiving treatment but her injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.

Two people have been arrested following the suspected attack.

A 63 year-old man and a 35 year-old woman remain in police custody.

A police cordon is currently in place as investigations into what happened continue.

Detective Inspector Thomas Bentley, said: “We are currently working to understand how and where this woman was assaulted and have now identified two suspects.

“As our investigation continues, we ask that any additional witnesses who saw or heard anything suspicious early this morning to come forward without delay.”
