The mum of a murdered North Derbyshire woman - says she's 'devoted' to helping women - looking to flee violent relationships.

Terri Harris was killed by her partner Damien Bendall in Killamarsh back in 2021 - along with Terri's 2 children & their friend.

Since then - Terri's mum - Angela Smith - has worked on putting 'care packages' together for women in refuges.

She tells us they've sent almost 60 packages out to refuge centres in South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire over the past week:

"Plenty of people have messaged me - telling me that I've helped save their life - and that's all I've ever wanted to do - save someone.

"We've got a care line that's up and running now - obviously we can't tell people what to do - we can only advise - and I've had a few calls on that.

"Hopefully we're making a difference - that's all we can do.

"We've been asked for 59 bags between two refuges.

"These locations are kept secret though, as they're protecting vulnerable women.

"These packages all include essential items like toothpaste and deodorant - things like that.

"You've got to remember that a lot of these women leaves their homes with nothing.

"We'll carry on trying to make a difference and hopefully it'll put a smile on the face of women who're going through a hard time."

Damien Bendall is currently serving a whole life order in jail for the 4 murders on Chandos Crescent in 2021.
