Drivers are to expect delays and disruptions to their journeys over the next few months, as key turbine components start to be delivered at the Port of Cairnryan.

Police Scotland and project transport teams will run convoys twice a day to keep traffic flowing.

The parts delivered include blade and tower sections, which will be taken to Stranoch Wind Farm, between New Luce and Barrhill, under police escort.

Deliveries are to happen during the week, right up until December.

The construction of this site began in May 2024, with an aim to finish in early 2027.

Once this is up and running, the community benefit is estimated to be around £510,000 each year.
