Police in Kirkconnel are appealing for information after two men were hospitalised following a disturbance in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 2.25pm on 12 April in St Conal’s Square West.

Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or have information on the incident to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0426 of Saturday 12 April 2026.
