Three men arrested following incident in Castle Douglas

A 38-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries.

Police are wanting any witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward.

Three men have been arrested in connection with a disturbance and serious assault in Castle Douglas yesterday.

A 38-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to DGRI for treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident at the property on Wallace Court last night around half past eleven to come forward.

The arrested are aged 29, 39 and 49.

Detective Inspector Scott Wilson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information, who has not already spoken to police, to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to contact us.”

He is also urging anyone with any information to contact 101 quoting reference 3418 of 2 January 2025.
