Search ongoing for missing 44-year-old near Newton Stewart
Piotr Klusek has not been seen since 2nd September
Police are actively searching for 44-year-old Piotr Klusek, who was last seen on 2nd September in Glentrool, a village near Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway.
He is described as of medium build, with a beard, wearing a black checked jacket with a zip, and carrying a small cross-body bag.
Chief Inspector Stuart Dougan emphasised the growing concern for Piotr's welfare due to his prolonged absence.
“Our enquiries have revealed that Piotr travelled to Glentrool by taxi service from Glasgow train station on Wednesday," Chief Inspector Dougan said.
“It’s crucial that we find him and we are carrying out searches in the areas of Glentrool Forest."
He encouraged anyone in the area recently to recall and report any information, regardless of how minor it might seem.
“The area is busy with local people and dog walkers,” he added.
Those who recognise Piotr or have relevant information are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3876 of 4th September, 2026.
