Police search for witnesses to Annan crash involving 80-year-old pedestrian

The collision happened in Butts Street.

An 80-year-old man was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Butts Street, Annan.

The crash, which involved the man and a blue Ford Explorer, happened at around 11.35am on Friday, 2nd January 2026.

He was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary to be treated for injuries sustained in the collision.

Sergeant Scott Costley has urged anyone who witnessed the incident or captured it on dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
