Police appeal

Sergeant Wayne Carnochan said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who died at this extremely difficult time.

“Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and we’d ask anyone who witnessed the crash, or saw the man or either vehicle prior, to come forward and speak with officers.

“I’d also ask that those who were driving in the area at the time with a dash-cam review the footage to see if it has captured anything of significance.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0526 of May 3 2026.
