A man was recovered from the water at Buccleuch Street Bridge in Dumfries on the morning of 28th July 2026 (today).

Police Scotland reported that the incident was brought to their attention around 8am when concerns were raised for the man's safety.

Emergency Services Response

Emergency services swiftly attended the scene, where police officers successfully recovered the man from the water.

He was subsequently taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The current condition of the man has not been disclosed.
