Badger setts disturbed in Castle Kennedy

The short-legged mammals are a protected species.

Police are investigating a recent badger sett disturbance in the Castle Kennedy area near Stranraer.

The incident happened somewhere between December 2024 and January 2025.

A reminder is being sent out to inform people the animals are protected under the Protection of Badger Act 1992, and it is a crime to disturb or kill them.
