A local musician who describes his style as alternative - with rock, rap, and electronic influences - is set to perform in his first ever headline show in Dumfries & Galloway.
But, Alexander Romance is no stranger to a home crowd, having performed on the main Youth Beatz stage on several occasions, before the likes of chart topping DJ Joel Corry.
Pleased to be performing in his show F!N!TE at Chancers in Dumfries on Thursday the 26th of October, Alex is also welcoming some guests to the stage, including rappers Kiko and Wolf Mobb.
Alex says it’ll be great to introduce new audiences to his style, and that he hopes his story will inspire others from the region to follow their passions:
“To be able to influence and show people that it’s possible to do whatever you want to do – that’s really important to me.
“I hope that when people see me they think oh – if he’s doing that, I’m going to do that thing that I want to do, and that doesn’t have to be music.”
Labelling the show as ‘boundary pushing’ and ‘progressive’, Alex says shows like this are much harder to come by around here than in the city.
The event will be delivered in partnership with Dumfries Music Collective, with support from the small hip hop fund, Sunny G Radio, 644 Studios, UP2STNDRD and Creative Scotland.
Tickets for F!IN!TE are available online, and at the door.
